The year is almost half way over, which comes as a complete shock. It is crazy how fast things move when there is a constant stream of this’s and that’s. It also seems like it’s been forever since we last wrote a blog post (and that is probably because it has been). So we thought we would just sit down, chat a little about what is going on in our lives, and then hear what about what you guys are doing. That sounds like fun, right?
Lets start with some of the exciting events that have happened to some of our favorite bloggers!
- Sazan Barzani got married to one of the nicest (and most energetic) guys we have ever met, Stevie! Her dress was, of course, stunning and the ceremony looked beautiful. We sent her a sushi making kit as a gift, so hopefully she able to make some yummy food! :) Currently, she is jetsetting around Europe on her honeymoon. And while we couldn’t be happier for her, it does give us a bit of wanderlust.
- Daniela recently won the LATAM award for Top Influencer by 2B Tube. It really comes as no surprise seeing as Daniela’s star power continues to grow and grow. We can’t wait to see what is next for her!
- NotJessFashion recently had her baby, Capri Harper! And she now basically looks like she did before, so we are not really sure how she does it. But congrats on your little bundle of joy!
- Ingrid Nilsen just announced some really big news about her personal life. We just wanted to say that we couldn’t be more proud of her and are excited to see how her journey will continue to unfold on YouTube. Also, happy pride month!
So what have we been up to? Well…
- Chictopia Connect is still going strong. We are continuing to ramp up the features available to both bloggers and brands. We are signing on more and more brands who are really itching to start working with bloggers, so be sure to sign up! The feedback we’ve been getting makes us really exciting to be forging this new space in media.
- We collaborated with some local YouTubers recently, Fashion by Ally and Deva of MyLifeSuckers, on some really fun videos. Be sure to check them out and subscribe because we have more exciting collaborations coming up really soon!
- We are continuing to work with big name brands and bloggers on campaigns for the spring and fall. Bloggers like Clothes Horse, QueenHorsfall, Itsnotheritsme, and so many others are working with JCPenney promoting their new lines. Hapatime, Jaglever, Rach Martino, and other big name girls recently wrapped up a Coach Watch campaign for Mother’s Day, and the stories they told were heartmelting.
- We have an ongoing contest with Dynamite where you can win a new dress each month for a year, as well as a $1000 Dynamite shopping spree, and a guest blog post on DYNBLOG. It is as simple as styling your favorite dress and posting it here on Chictopia or Instagram. The contest ends 6/20, so enter now!
And in other random office news:
- We got a pretty new seamless background that you might have seen in a couple of videos so far. It looks pretty awesome on camera we think.
- Chictopia baby Enzo turned 1 last month!
- Chictopia baby Evan got his first modeling gig recently!
- Mashable recently published an article on the creative youths of the world. It definitely was an interesting perspective on the type of people we work with.
