Warning: I’m obsessed with this Eberjey Piece Work Rayne Romper. In fact, I’m so obsessed with both the romper and these photos, that this post breaks my rules of photo moderation. I think you can see the glee in my face below. Shot on an easy, breezy lazy Saturday. I received this Eberjey romper in a gift bag from Miami Magazine, curated just for me.
A few days before I’d received the Free People Sun Seeker Gladiator Sandals for an upcoming project. I knew I’d found the absolute perfect pairing for the Eberjey romper. Did I actually have to wait til April to wear these bad boys?! Nah, you do what you want when you’re poppin after all. I put my gaming boyfriend on notice and informed him we’d be going out. I wasn’t sure where, but I knew I needed to get dressed up in this beautiful mix of patterns.
Have you noticed my hair has more shape to it recently? I got a nice little trim and treatment at Sassoon Salon in Miami Beach about a month ago. While they still can’t handle natural hair very well. Probably why our partnership didn’t work out I’m sure, but anyway…the salon director Pascal Bodin and I had a chat about what I could do with my hair vs what I was willing to do. I almost never cut my hair, and I’m fearful because of horror stories of stylists taking off too much. Pascal took off just the right amount, it actually felt like nothing but there was a clear difference. When I wear my hair in a ponytail, my ends look even and healthy. Wearing my hair down, you can see definition, like there was intention behind my look. You need to get regular trims and cuts to protect your hair from breaking. It’s something we all most likely know but don’t actually put into practice as often as we should.
I wanted my hair to match the eye-catching, yet laid-back and mellow vibe of this look. Something you could describe in exactly the same way. A compliment to the look almost as an accessory. Loose curls! Easy, breezy baby. I was in a rut with my look all week and I felt so reinvigorated by my hair, this Eberjey romper everything. it all came together so well.
