Another show I attended at Mercedes-Benz fashion week in New York City was the Tracy Reese Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Tracy Reese headed for Manhattan in 1982 to attend Parsons School of Design where she received an accelerated degree in 1984. Known for her ultra-feminine pieces, covered with clever nostalgia, charisma and indulgence. Over the past decade, the Tracy Reese name has become synonymous with bubbly dresses and print driven inheritance fare that women across the globe can’t get enough of.
Tracy Reese has an eye for detail and broad knowledge of color, fabric and shape. Her Fall/Winter 2011 collection reveals enduring, wearable garments that evoke sophistication and elegance. Her approach is premeditated, combining modern craftsmanship with vintage flair, creating a look that is clearly her own.
I really loved the brilliant colors, bold prints and elaborate patterns, which define Tracy Reese. The Tracy Reese collection takes life in deep hues, sculptural shapes and engaging textural combinations.
Marrying the unlikely romance of neutrals with ambers and rich curries, Tracy Reese infuses muted tones of toffee, black, brown and grey with shots of brilliant metallics and jewel tones. Tracy Reese updates romantic silhouettes through tactile pairings, elongated lengths and enhanced 3-dimensionality and her ever-famous graphic and floral prints remain strong for the season creating of amber sunsets and autumn botanical gardens, allowing glimpses of summer to shine through fall.
Don’t you just love the idea of glimpses of summer, which shine through fall? I know I do. This was the last fashion show at Mercedes-Benz fashion week that I will be covering for the season of Fall/Winter 2011. I would like to take advantage of the opportunity to thank the entire Chictopian staff, Liz (playingwithfire) and eiu_editor for providing this amazing opportunity. And my dearest readers, thank you all for reading!! As soon as I get back, I’ll try posting on a daily basis again. Thank you!!
