Francesca Roth, CEO of My Grandma’s Closet & Wardrobe Stylist
I founded My Grandma’s Closet in August of 2009 as a part time endeavor while I finished my undergraduate degree. Named for my Grandma Sylvia’s amazing fashion sense, My Grandma’s Closet was established to showcase my favorite hand picked vintage items. In a very short time, I acquired a steady clientele and watched my business expand exponentially in just a couple of years. I graduated from California State University at Northridge with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing in 2011.
My Grandma’s Closet has since expanded to wholesale. I currently buy for Forever 21 R&D, and Urban Outfitters vintage collection. My handpicked vintage can be found at the PUR (Project Urban Renewal) Tent at Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood, Urban Outfitters ‘Vintage Finds’ for UrbanOutfitters.com, and various store locations throughout the country.
Since graduating from college, I have been able to pursue my career as a freelance wardrobe stylist. I utilize my passion for revival vintage to inspire fashion ensembles. I have collaborated with professional photographers to style high fashion editorials for magazines, I am a working wardrobe stylist instructor for fashion photography classes at the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and I have assisted for various projects with ELLE Magazine.
